Rasagulla 4, organized by the Ghana Indian Malayalee Association (GIMA), was an extraordinary cultural extravaganza that brought together diverse talents from both Indian and Ghanaian communities. The event, held at the Accra Stadium, aimed to celebrate unity, diversity, and cultural exchange through a vibrant display of performances and entertainment.
Inauguration Ceremony:
Hailed as a "Mela" of Indian and Ghanaian cultures, the event transcended generational boundaries, attracting attendees of all ages. The program was inaugurated by The High Commissioner Mr. Manish Gupta alongside GIMA office bearers President Santosh Nair, VP Aneesh, Secretary Santhosh KO, Joint Secretary Lijo John, and Treasurer Pradeep V Joseph. The event commenced with an inaugural dance performance by a fusion of Indian and Ghanaian artists, presented by GIMA and the Sika Kokoo Band. This captivating dance set the tone for an evening filled with cultural richness and collaboration.
● Group dances by various GIMA teams, including the Tema Ladies & Kids, Little Masters & Princesses, Ladies, Youngsters, and the Pink Pearls.
● Group dances by external groups such as the Ghana Tamil Association, ISKON, and the Dream Catchers, which added diversity and excitement to the event.
● Soulful group songs by Team Rhythm n Soul and Mekha & Team, captivating the audience with their melodious voices.
● A magical performance by the renowned magician Mr. Saac Vasanth, leaving the audience spellbound with his awe-inspiring tricks.
● Energetic and rhythmic performances by the Sika Kokoo Band, blending Ghanaian drum beats with Indian rhythms.
● Traditional Thalam-Melam performance by Mr. Juliace & Team, showcasing the fusion of Indian and Ghanaian musical traditions.
● Duet songs by talented artists Narayanan Krishnaswamy & Suresh, and Sajeesh & Manoj, captivating the audience with their harmonious voices.
Approximately 1000 attendees graced the event, and a raffle draw added excitement with thrilling prizes. Rasagulla 4 concluded with resounding applause and cheers from the audience, marking the event as a tremendous success. The fusion of Indian and Ghanaian cultures created a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere, fostering unity and appreciation among attendees of all ages.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including The High Commissioner Mr. Manish Gupta and various GIMA office bearers, who added prestige to the occasion.
